I LOVE doing artsy stuff with my kids. I try to make sure that they have all the art supplies they want always available. Always.
But I’ve had a hard time finding a good storage solution for all of the piles of paper: my husband brings home one-sided paper that is going into the trash from work, stacks of construction paper, coloring books, notebooks . . . paper everywhere.
I’ve wanted to purchase a few of those cool magazine files, but I could never find any cheap enough.
I finally found a solution: cereal boxes!

Simply cut an angle half-way down on each side, leaving a few inches at the top and bottom. We have been using these for weeks and, assuming they are only being used for storage and not being handled too much, they hold up quite well. I may need to make a few new ones every couple of months, but they are really so simple to make, and these boxes were headed for recycling anyway.
